OSP patrolling Parks/Forests issue resolved
Lodge Officers met with the
Department on 7/23. The State Patrol issue in Parks/Forestry was a
hot topic. OSP has been notified and the issue was cleared up.
This was a casual conversation that snowballed into a big
misunderstanding. The conversation was to let the patrol know
Parks/Forestry are short staffed and might need regular assistance and
back up if called. Thanks to our brother in forestry who provided
some good information that was used to assist in both sides of this
effort. Please do not hurt good relations that you have at each of
your facilities. The Proposed Amendment below has been passed by the membership. The change will be now go to the State Lodge for final approval. ARTICLE VII: ELECTION OF OFFICERS (CONDUCT OF ELECTIONS) SECTION 5. No member shall be nominated for more than one (1) office. To be nominated for Lodge office, a member must have been an active member in Lodge meetings by attending at least six of the twelve meetings per the 2 year meeting cycle. Any member serving on active military duty will be exempt from this requirement.
